The 2016 season was marked by a record number of participants at the World Championships at Torbole, Italy, and at the European Championships in Sopot, Poland. With 474 riders lining up for the Worlds, and taking into account the rapid progression of the new Techno+ class, the decision has been taken to separate the Techno 293OD and Techno 293+ events this year, with their World Championships on different dates and at different venues. Which means our 2017 calendar now features 3 major international gatherings :
15th to 20th July : Techno+ World Championships at St Pierre Quiberon(Brittany)/ENVSN (national sailing and watersports school). Organised by the local CDV 56 group, this championships will also be used for qualification and selection for the Youth Olympics, scheduled for next year in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
22nd to 29st July : Techno 293 OD European Championships at Lorient - Larmor. Organised by the CN (Sailing Club) Lorient, this event will bring together the best sailing clubs from across Europe on the magnificent beach at Kerguelen, opposite the picturesque Ile de Groix.
21th to 28th October : Techno 293 OD World Championships at Salou, Spain. The season’s main event should once again set records for the number of entrants at this superb destination renowned for its powerful thermals and wind currents.
